Just the Facts

On January 7th, I drove 7 hours to Kentucky with my mom and my niece, Sydney to get Dixie. I adopted her from Pawsibilities Unleashed, which is supposed to be a service dog rescue. Her name was Dicie at the time.

When we arrived, she was wet and dirty. She didn't want to go in the crate. We drove to Brown County, IN and stopped to let her go potty, but she wouldn't go. We stopped for lunch and checked out a few stores before heading back (because it had been years since we visited).

When we stopped for gas, she stil wouldn't go potty! She wouldn't even respond except when we called her name, so I didn't want to change it completely, and that's how I got the name Dixie! But, she is from the South!

Sydney held her the rest of the way home.

We drove back the additional 7 hours in the same day. It was exhausting. After arriving home, she did not like my dad, and I had to give her a bath.

Louie came over and was mean to her from the start.

I let her sleep with me, but I had to keep her on the leash to make sure that she wouldn't do anything.

She didn't know what was going on and she did not like my dad!
